{"id":15924,"date":"2024-04-19T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-19T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mostlyfood.co.uk\/?p=15924"},"modified":"2022-02-19T14:12:44","modified_gmt":"2022-02-19T14:12:44","slug":"rhubarb-crumble","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/testing22.mostlyfood.co.uk\/index.php\/rhubarb-crumble\/","title":{"rendered":"Rhubarb Crumble"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From BBC Food<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>James Martin\u2019s classic rhubarb crumble recipe will take you to comfort food heaven in six short steps and under an hour.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Ingredients<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mostlyfood.co.uk\/Recipes\/rhubarbcrumble_11396_16x9.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"214\" \/><\/h4>\n<p>10 sticks of rhubarb<br \/>\n4 tbsp water<br \/>\n8 tbsp caster sugar<br \/>\n1 tsp powdered ginger<br \/>\n110g\/4oz butter, softened<br \/>\n110g\/4oz demerara sugar<br \/>\n180-200g\/6-7oz flour<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>To serve<\/h4>\n<p>double cream<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Method<\/h4>\n<p>Preheat the oven to 180C\/350F\/Gas 4.<\/p>\n<p>Cut the rhubarb into 7\u00bdcm\/3in long sticks and place on an oven tray, sprinkle with the water and caster sugar and roast in the oven for 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Once cooked, remove from the oven, sprinkle over the ginger and mix well.<\/p>\n<p>Fill an ovenproof dish about 4cm\/1\u00bdin deep with the rhubarb.<\/p>\n<p>Rub the butter into the flour and sugar to make the crumble topping.
