From Sainsbury’s<\/p>\n

A bread enriched with sugar, butter and muesli, ideal served warm.<\/p>\n

Serves: 8
\nPreparation time: 50 Minutes
\nCooking time: 30 Minutes<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/h4>\n

500g Wright’s premium white bread mix
\n25g butter, cubed
\n25g caster sugar
\n150g luxury muesli<\/p>\n

284ml pot buttermilk
\n200ml milk, warmed<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Method<\/h4>\n

Place the bread mix in a bowl and rub in the butter. Stir in the caster sugar and muesli. Add the buttermilk and milk and mix for 5 minutes either by hand or in a food mixer to form a soft dough.<\/p>\n

Place on a floured surface cover with cling film and rest for 5 minutes, work the dough for 2 minutes. Mould into a ball and rest the dough for a further 5 minutes.<\/p>\n

Mould into a round 5cm thick. Place on a greased baking sheet, dust the surface with flour and cover with a damp tea towel. Leave to rise in a warm place for 30-40 minutes, or until the dough has doubled in size.<\/p>\n

Preheat the oven to 230\u00b0C, 450\u00b0F, gas mark 8.<\/p>\n

Place the baking sheet on the lower oven shelf and cook for 30 minutes, or until golden brown. For the glaze: Place the sugar and water in a small saucepan and heat until dissolved, then liberally brush over the muesli bread.<\/p>\n

Cool slightly then serve.<\/p>\n
