From Farm to Glass<\/h3>\n

Ramsbury is a farm with a distillery. It lives on 19,000 acres of land on the Ramsbury estate, with the grain-milling shed, a key part of the\"ramsbury gin-making process, next door. They even source water from their own well for the distilling. Fallen trees are chopped to heat the bio-mass boiler. Distillery wastewater is funnelled through a series of reed beds providing natural filtration. The Horatio wheat is grown on site, and the spent wheat is used to feed their cattle. Manure from the cattle is used to fertilize the fields and so the cycle continues.<\/p>\n

Ramsbury Single Estate Gin is a contemporary take on traditional London dry gin. The spirit is distilled in a copper still using the aforementioned wheat before this 96.5% base spirit is distilled again with botanicals including quince grown on the Estate, along with cinnamon, liquorice, orris root, dried lemon peel, dried orange peel, coriander, angelica and the obligatory juniper.<\/p>\n

Ramsbury Single Estate Gin is very much about quality but also respect for the land. The company has produced a delicious fresh and full-bodied gin. Even the bottle has classy shelf appeal. This is certainly a worthy gin and perfect for the classic G&T with a slice of lemon and plenty of ice.<\/p>\n

Appearance: clear<\/h4>\n

Nose: Juniper, cut grass and lemony notes.<\/p>\n

Palate: juniper, citrus and warming spice.<\/p>\n

Finish: Medium and smooth with lingering citrus.<\/p>\n

40% ABV.<\/p>\n
