Vodka Martini

There can be few cocktails more iconic than a Vodka Martini. The gin Martini was the first but this vodka version became popular in the 1940s and 1950s. It has few ingredients but plenty of impact.
Ingredients
- 15ml/½fl oz dry vermouth
- 60ml/2fl oz vodka
- twist lemon peel, to garnish
Method
Pour the vermouth and vodka into a mixing glass and fill with ice cubes. Stir well and then strain into a small Martini glass.
Garnish with a twist of lemon peel and serve.
